Power Boat Accessibility and Delivery Checklist
Remove radar arch
Water pick-up/drop off: Ramp must be in good condition and accessible to a 70’ tractor trailer. Water depth requirements vary, however boats up to 28’ generally require at least 4’ of water. 30’ boats and larger require a minimum of 5’ of water. Marina pick-up/drop off: Boat must be located with 60’ of straight access in front of bow. Boat must be blocked with at least 36” of space between the sides and the ground Residential pickup/drop off: Boat must be located with 70’ of straight access in front of bow. Boat must be blocked with at least 36” of space between the sides and the ground Driveway must be accessible to a 70’ tractor trailer Ground must be solid/dry to provide traction for a heavy weight vehicle Tractor trailers have a large turn radius. Please remove any brush or debris prior to arrival Boat must be blocked on level ground upon delivery. If level ground is not available please notify us prior to delivery. Please have blocks and stands ready prior to delivery Blocks and/or stands Hardwood 6”x8”x15” blocks and 2-4 boat stands are preferred. Please check your size of boat on the list below to ensure you have enough blocks and stands upon delivery: 15’- 25’: 25 blocks OR 2 stands and 13 blocks 26’-30’: 25 blocks OR 2 stands and 10 blocks 31’-36’: 30 blocks OR 4 stands and 10 blocks 37’+: 30 blocks OR 4 stands and 15 blocks Concrete blocks can be used however they do have the potential to break. Railroad ties are not ideal due to inconsistency in size and tendency to split and rot. Pressure treated 6”x6”x24” blocks are acceptable; however please ensure that you have 40% more available than the quantities listed above. Please have an assortment of scrap wood, plywood, carpet, etc. for minor adjustments. This allows us to ensure your boat is blocked completely securely and level. We do not carry blocks and stands with us. However, if necessary we can supply them for a fee (order basis only). Stands must be ordered 30 days prior to shipping. Prices may vary. Secure doors
Remove all ropes and fenders
Remove life ring
Remove barbecues, coolers, etc.
Secure all items in the cockpit (carpets, electronic covers, etc.)
Secure/remove sun pads
Secure antennas down
Box up all loose items on board
Secure all interior cabinet doors
Secure all salon doors
Remove all canvas and put inside
If the boat is to be shipped with a tunnel cover on, please be sure that the fastenings are adequate to withstand highway speeds
Remove ALL tarps from boat (tarps will not withstand highway speeds)
Remove shrink wrap (shrink wrap is designed for storage only and may damage boat during transport)
Remove all items extending past the stated length and width of your boat
Secure anchor with an extra safety strap
In most cases boats 32’ and up require the radar to be removed (or hung underneath of the arch)
If the boat has outdrives, stow up at a minimum of 50%
If the boat is 32’ or bigger and has a fly bridge, in most cases the fly bridge may need to be removed
Batteries must be disconnected or have switches in off position
Boats are designed to withstand wet environments. However, in the event of rain, if there is anything on you would like to keep dry please stow accordingly.
Remember, we TRANSPORT boats. There will be an additional fee if we need to prepare your boat for transport. To avoid extra charges, please ensure that all checklist items are completed before pick-up time. Your quoted price covers a 30 minute load and 30 minutes to unload. In most cases this is more than double the time required. Our drivers are experienced, dependable boat transporters who will take the utmost care to deliver your boat in the best condition. However, we cannot be held responsible for pre-existing structural flaws so please be sure that your boat is sufficiently sound for road transport. If a third party is responsible for the preparation of your boat for transport (dealer, marina, etc.) please ensure that they are aware of the items outlined above. Any dinghies must be removed
Ladders must be secured inside the cradle

Masts must be down and wrapped every 2’ to secure any cables or wires
We prefer masts to be removed and placed in an easily accessible spot on the starboard side of the boat. If the mast weighs more than 250lbs we need assistance to load the mast onto the trailer.
